"Rain" |
The rain pours down in sheets upon my window pane... The stars are hiding, trying to keep dry... And someone took the moon up to a drier plane... Tonight we're here alone, the rain and I... I've always thought that rain had such a peaceful sound... Especially on those nights when thoughts run deep... To lie and listen is a pastime I have found helps ease my troubled soul into it's sleep... Listening to the rain fall down above my head, just floods my mind with memories of lost youth... And as I lie here nestled in my lonely bed... It's hard to tell the daydreams, from the truth... But soon my thoughts have softened, sleep has numbed my brain... As I succumb to dreams that lie in store... Another night that I've been lulled by falling rain... and rocked within it's cradle as it pours... |
